A big part of our charity is the people we serve; service user’s voices are heard at every level of the organisation and we believe it is a key strength of the Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre that we are led by people living with MD. The views of our service users are integral to the design and development of our services and support.
Launched in 2021, the MDSC Steering Group currently meets on a monthly basis and although facilitated by our staff it is led by MDSC Service Users.
Our Steering group come together to progress their own ideas and suggestions as well as getting involved in the planning and launch of our Satellite Clinics and the ongoing development of our charity.
All service users are welcome, and although we do have a scheduled monthly meeting it’s fine to drop-in when you can if you aren’t able to commit to every meeting. Steering Group members work on the areas that interest them or where they have skills, knowledge or contacts – your participation in the group is what you make of it and you are welcomed to commit as much or as little time as works for you.

The meetings will take place on the first Thursday of every month at 6.30pm via Zoom.
