Mark is a founding trustee and Company Secretary of the Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience to the organisation.

Following his son Murray's diagnosis with Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 2005, Mark and his wife established the charity Murray's Muscles, helping people with muscular dystrophy access specialist equipment and support across the Midlands. He has also been actively involved in muscular dystrophy research and advocacy, serving on research funding panels and contributing to the assessment of clinical drug trials.

With a professional background in health and safety spanning more than 30 years, Mark has developed extensive knowledge of disability equipment, adaptations and accessibility. He remains passionate about improving the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy and related conditions.
