Ruth Hereford is Chair of Trustees at the Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre and brings her professional experience as an accountant to the organisation. She has been involved with the charity for more than a decade, initially supporting its accounting and bookkeeping before joining the Board of Trustees and helping to guide its development and growth.

As Chair, Ruth has played a key role in transforming the charity from a small local service into a thriving organisation supporting hundreds of people with neuromuscular conditions across the Midlands. She is passionate about building a collaborative, people-centred organisation and ensuring service users receive the support, understanding and specialist care they need.

In recognition of her dedication and contribution to the neuromuscular community, Ruth received the Richard Attenborough Award for Outstanding Achievement at the Muscular Dystrophy UK Stronger Together Awards.
