Nina Hanks
Nina was born in Germany and came to the UK at the age of 19 for a voluntary year at Coventry Cathedral.
She fell in love with the UK, its culture, and its people. Therefore she started her degree in Communication, Culture and Media at Coventry University, graduating in 2007.
Initially working in insurance, she found a passion for a more creative working environment. This led her to return too Germany for 11 months to participate in an internship in a PR agency, returning to Coventry again in 2011. From here she focused on Marketing and PR, working for smaller technology and telecommunication companies.
From there she branched out and worked in export for the next 5 years.
Managing her life with 2 children meant that Nina sought out more flexible work that offered a better work/life balance.
She made the move to become a fundraising administrator with The Ambulance Staff charity. She realised quickly that her background in Marketing and PR was a huge bonus when trying to engage the public, a community or Trusts. She found her calling with fundraising and being part of a team that strives to make a difference.
In May 2020 Nina joined the MDSC team as a Fundraising Assistant and relishes the opportunity to grow the Centre in order to aid all their service users.
Nina is married with 2 children.
