Louise Meadows

Receptionist and Admin Assistant

After leaving college in 2007 Louise began her career volunteering for the Redditch Advocacy Team as an Administration Support worker until their closure in 2009.

Having gained lots of experience from this. she moved to the Citizens Advice Bureau in Redditch for five years until their funding issues forced them to close their doors. However she gained a wealth of knowledge from these experienced.

In the two years after Louise helped out at the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Trust in Stratford-on-Avon.

In 2015 Louise joined the Heart of England Mencap Head Office in a Receptionist & Administration Assistant role. Once again however, funding came between her and this role.

Tenacity and positivity help her through these small set backs. Louise was then referred to the MSDC as a service user. Naturally this led her to volunteer for the MSDC, and in 2018 she was offered a role in the MSDC.

Louise is passionate about her role. She divides her time between working from home and at Reception when needed especially on a Saturday.

This role is one that Louise is dedicated to, and is glad to be a part of the centre as it grows and offers service users a better quality of life.

Louise is an Aston Villa fan. Her hobbies include crafts and gaming. She lives with her cat “Sam” and her mother since the passing of her father in 2006.
