Despite the national lockdown we now find ourselves in, we would like to reassure you that the government guidance on healthcare services remains unchanged, allowing us to stay open and to continue to provide support to our service users at our Hereward College HQ, and our Birmingham Satellite at Acorns Children’s Hospice.
MDSC will reopen to our service users on Monday 11th Jan. Appointments that have been cancelled due to the temporary closure will be rescheduled for the earliest possible time from that date.
MDSC is committed to supporting our service users throughout the restrictions and in addition to the continuation of our face-to-face therapies, we plan to stay connected online with digital resources and weekly classes and social events, so please keep an eye on our Facebook page for details of what’s coming up. You can also follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram for the latest news from the centre.
We would also like to reassure you that the stringent health and safety measures we have been operating will remain in place, and we continue to assess the situation to ensure the safest possible, covid-secure service. In particular:
- Testing – Regular Covid-19 testing, previously in place for our therapists, is now extended to all onsite staff too (most of our team will of course be working from home, as per the government guidance).
- Reconfigured Space at our Coventry HQ – We had previously converted our office environment into private treatment area for our appointments (instead of using the shared therapy suite). This ensures that there is minimal contact needed between our service users and Hereward College staff and students. We will now limit the number of people in our treatment spaces – so that we will have a maximum of 2 therapists operating onsite at Hereward (one in our main treatment space and one in our separate private therapy room).
- Direct Access – We have introduced more direct routes for you to access our treatment spaces. This means that you don’t have to go through Hereward College’s reception when visiting us.
We will continue to assess the ongoing situation and will update our measures and the services we offer accordingly. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact us on 02476 100 770 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
