Chandni Patel

Physiotherapist

Chandni graduated from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health science with a bachelor’s degree in 2011. Following 6 months of rotations while she was an Intern in a multi-speciality hospital in India, she further perused her interests in Physiotherapy and graduated with a Masters of Heath Science degree from the University of Indianapolis, USA in 2013.

She spent 3 years working in New York handling geriatric and neurological caseload for a busy private practice within Senior care homes, assisted living facilities and independent living facilities.

She relocated to the UK in 2016, and very soon realized that her true calling was to specialise in Neuro physiotherapy. Her Professional journey in the UK started within the NHS working at the Functional Electrical Stimulation Clinic, Selly Oak, Birmingham. In the meantime, an opportunity presented itself which meant she had the opportunity to join the lovely team at the Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre (MDSC) in 2017.

Ever since 2017, Chandni has had a Senior Physiotherapist position at MDSC and works within the NHS as a Specialist Stroke Physiotherapist. She is passionate about understanding and improving body movement and functions to improve quality of life and has had extensive experience working with people with conditions like Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, Brain injuries, Muscular Dystrophy and Stroke.

Outside of work, Chandni enjoys spending time with her family and friends, loves travelling to different countries and trying different cuisines.
